The DollyRocker vision began in the winter of 2006 by longtime friends and musical collaborators Mike Porterfield and Steve Scholtes, both members of Houston punk rock band Poor Dumb Bastards. Eventually the lineup was completed with the addition of guitarist Dave DaVegas, former Manhole/Come On Come On vocalist AliceSin Gibson and ex Toho Ehio/I End Result drummer extradordinaire, Sean Feeley.

The sounds and songs of the band are rooted in a mix of hard rock, rockabilly, outlaw country and southern blues. These varied styles as well as individual influences meld together to create a wicked Texas style of music unique to the DollyRockers.

In the Fall of 2008, DollyRockers released their critically acclaimed 10 song debut CD, Hellbound Hoedown, which can be purchased at Cactus Records or at any live performance.
